Riot Games at PAX 2010

The company behind League of Legends will be at PAX 2010.

For those of you who attended PAX last year, and are wondering if Riot will be in attendance, no need to worry boys and girls!

Riot Games will be there, and they've got a very special skin to commemorate the occasion. Now, if you're an avid follower of Gabe and Tycho's Penny Arcade, then you're probably going to recognize the infamous Cardboard Tube Samurai.

And if you're not native to our fair Western coast, you'll be pleased to know that we're also planning on paying a visit to PAX East.

LoL Community Site Login Issues (How to Fix)

LoL Community Site Login Issues (How to Fix) : League of Legends
A number of our players ran into issues that prevented them from logging into the community site and forums. We are still working on fixing this bug, but while we work on it, we wanted to let people login to the forums.

Q: What is affected?
A: This only affects forum login, players can login to the game and play normally.

Q: Who is affected?
A: Only some people are having issues logging into the community site and forums, most can login and post normally.

Q: How do I know if I’m affected?
A: If you receive an error that says “Your account does not have a summoner” or “Password and Account Name combination not recognized” when trying to login to the community site here.

Q: What do I do if I’m affected?
A: You can continue to play the game if you like (your PvP.net login should work). If you want to login to the forums you can e-mail support@riotgames.com to reset your password.

Q: Why can’t I reset my password the normal way?
A: Unfortunately the same bug has affected the security questions, meaning it won’t recognize your security answers as correct.

Q: Is my information/password secure?
A: Yes. Right now it’s a bit too secure actually. We hash your password and the bug is with comparing what you entered with what is stored.

Q: When will this be fixed?
A: We’ve got our top men on this, and we’ll post an update as soon as we have a fix. In the meantime, most of you won’t be affected, if you are, you can keep playing, and e-mail support@riotgames.com.

Q: How long will it take to reset my password?
A: We are dealing with a number of requests, so please be patient with us. We will reset the passwords as quickly as we can.

Refer a friend to LoL and get rewards

Need League of Legends rewards?

Well...
It has now come to that glorious time when League of Legends players the world over shall band together and tell all of their friends to come join them in combat on the Field of Justice! And why, you ask? Because we’re going to give you free stuff for doing so!

As we all know, League of Legends is more fun when you play it with your friends. And so, to encourage you to help your friends broaden their horizons, we’re going to give you rewards for getting them to sign up. Every time someone that you have referred reaches summoner level 10, you’ll be eligible for a reward. This reward can be anything from an IP boost, to a unique champion skin, to a free trip out to the Riot Office in sunny California to design your own champion.

Here’s how it works: every fifth friend that reaches level 10 will net you an IP boost that you can redeem whenever you want. In addition, every time you reach one of the following reward tiers, you will receive a unique reward.

* 10 - Tier 3 Champion
* 25 - Forum Title – “Recruiter”
* 50 - Grey Warwick Champion Skin
* 100 - The League of Legends Digital Collector’s Pack
* 150 - Forum Title – “Senior Recruiter”
* 200 - 10,000 Riot Points
* 250 - Forum Title – “Master Recruiter”
* 350 - Ultra-rare champion skin – Champion will be selected by the first player to reach this tier*
* 500 - Get your name added to the “Wall of Fame” in the Riot Office
* 1,000 - A content element will be named after your summoner
* 5,000 - All current and future content permanently unlocked
* 10,000 - All expenses paid trip to visit Riot Games and develop a champion with the Riot Design Team

So, what are you waiting for? Get out there and spread the word! You know that you all want to design your own champion with the League of Legends team. 10,000 friend referrals is child’s play for a well connected socialite such as yourself! Either that, or at least get 5 buddies to come help you earn a free IP boost!
